American Friends of ALYN Hospital (AFAH) is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funding for ALYN Hospital in Jerusalem, Israel's premier pediatric rehabilitation center. We're seeking a passionate, proactive professional to join our close-knit team in our Midtown Manhattan office, steps away from Grand Central Station.

Position Description:
As our Development Associate, you'll play a key role in driving our fundraising and outreach activities, with a particular focus on individual donors and foundation relations. This multifaceted position offers an excellent opportunity for someone who is adept at planning events and cultivating relationships with new and existing supporters.

Responsibilities:
• Plan and execute fundraising events, both small and larger scale.
• Serve as a primary liaison for volunteer fundraisers establishing long-term relationships that foster ongoing support.
• Lead the effort to identify, contact and develop relationships with foundations. Write and submit grant requests and reporting with foundations as needed.
• Implement diverse fundraising strategies to expand our donor base.
• Support the effective use of our donor database and reports using CRM software.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree or certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in fundraising or related fields.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Raiser's Edge or similar CRM software is a plus.
